My Health & Wellness Story
My name is Kristin and I am so passionate about health and wellness, fitness and nutrition, and cultivating a positive mindset!
I started my health and wellness journey at the start of the pandemic in 2020 during a time when there were no gyms open and I found myself really sliding into dangerous, unhealthy habits. I had always been relatively healthy and active most of my life. But I had never been the girl to pay attention to what I ate or go to the gym.
I decided in November 2020 that it was time (at 36 years old) to start taking better care of my physical, mental and emotional health. I joined Beachbody and started working out at home before work and although I didn't put myself on a diet, I began being more mindful of what I ate on a daily basis. What worked for me was eating at least one salad a day, with one weekend day a "free" day to eat anything. By January, the habit was formed. I felt better, had more energy and my clothes were starting to get a little loose!
I never tracked my weight and just focused on making healthy choices and keeping tabs on how I felt. I'm the type of person that would easily get discouraged if the number on the scale didn't change.. even though I didn't have a ton of weight to lose. The few times I did weigh myself, the number surprised me! I felt better than I ever had before in my life. By April, I was toned and confident and SO proud of myself.
Even with the exercise and healthy eating habits, my skin was super sensitive, unpredictable and prone to breakouts. I was deficient in many essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin D, B12 and magnesium. I enhanced my skincare routine and started taking some gummy vitamins but didn't see a huge improvement.
Finally, in December of 2023, I was introduced to THREE Proactive Wellness by my holistic network chiropractor. I started taking them immediately and felt even better in about a week. My skin started to clear up and even out. I also had some bloodwork done at my annual preventative appointment and all of my levels increased! I started taking all 6 products in the beginning of December. Within a few days, the first things I noticed were that my trips to the bathroom were more regular and I had more energy. Then I started realizing that my skin was looking better, I was waking up easier (sometimes I don't even need my coffee!), and I wasn't as sore after a workout.
I ended up with a cold (which doesn't happen often) and started doubling up on the Imúne product which extremely reduced my symptoms and knocked it out in 3 days.
